melting-ceramic-crucibles-whip-tongs-handle-set
2x Melting Ceramic Crucibles + Whip Tongs Handle 2" Melting Gold silver copper

Two complete melting sets, each with a 2A (small) ceramic crucible dish and a whip tong handle, for melting and pouring small amounts of gold, silver, copper and other non-ferrous metals. Having two sets lets you keep one crucible for each metal and avoid contamination.

The whip tong is made from stainless steel wire with a reverse action, so it springs closed and holds the crucible securely; squeeze to release. This gives you good control when tipping and pouring molten metal. The round ceramic dish holds up to 100 g and has a pouring spout for a clean pour into an ingot mould or casting flask.

Specifications

Crucible capacity: approx. 100 g

Crucible outside diameter with lip: 2-3/8" (60 mm)

Whip tong length: 9-3/4" (approx. 248 mm)

Tong material: stainless steel wire

Crucible: round ceramic dish with pouring spout

What's included

2 x 2A ceramic crucible dishes

2 x whip tong handles

Ideal for

Melting scrap gold and silver

Pouring ingots and casting

Jewellery workshops, hobby metalworkers and students

Before first use

Preheat the crucible gently before melting.
