Sound therapy tuning forks: FAQs
What are Otto tuning forks?
Otto forks are weighted forks at low frequencies such as 32, 64 and 128 Hz. The weights give a strong vibration that's easy to feel through the stem.
What are Solfeggio tuning forks?
A set of nine frequencies from 174 Hz to 963 Hz, widely used in sound baths and meditation. Each fork is marked with its frequency.
What is a 136.1 Hz (OM) fork?
A weighted fork tuned to 136.1 Hz, a popular single frequency for sound practice and meditation.
How do I use a tuning fork?
Hold it by the stem, strike the prongs gently with the mallet or on an activator, then hold it near the ear or rest the stem on the body. Never strike it on a hard surface.
How do I look after my forks?
Hold them by the stem, not the prongs. Wipe clean after use and store them in their pouch to protect the tuning.
How quickly will my order arrive?
UK delivery is free and orders are dispatched within 1 working day.
