The NS Crafts® 3 x 3" Ceramic Crucible Dishes 250 g is made for jewellers, goldsmiths, metalworkers and hobby makers. Fused silica ceramic crucible dishes for torch melting gold, silver, copper and brass at the bench. They handle high temperatures, heat evenly and have a pouring spout for a clean, controlled pour into ingot moulds or casting flasks.

Getting the best from your ceramic crucible

Before first use, glaze the inside with borax: warm the dish with your torch, sprinkle in borax and melt it into a thin layer. This seasoning protects the dish and helps the metal pour cleanly. Keep a separate dish for each metal to avoid contamination.
