2x Melting Ceramic Crucibles + Whip Tongs Handle 2" Melting Gold silver copper

Two complete melting sets, each with a 2A (small) ceramic crucible dish and a whip tong handle, for melting and pouring small amounts of gold, silver, copper and other non-ferrous metals. Having two sets lets you keep one crucible for each metal and avoid contamination.

The whip tong is made from stainless steel wire with a reverse action, so it springs closed and holds the crucible securely; squeeze to release. This gives you good control when tipping and pouring molten metal. The round ceramic dish holds up to 100 g and has a pouring spout for a clean pour into an ingot mould or casting flask.

Before first use

Preheat the crucible gently before melting. Glazing the inside of the dish with borax is recommended, as it helps the metal flow and makes the crucible last longer. Always wear eye protection and heat-resistant gloves, and work on a fireproof surface in a well-ventilated area.
