2A Mini Melting Ceramic Crucibles with Handle Tongs for Gold & Silver Casting

A complete small melting set with a 2A ceramic crucible dish and a whip tong handle, for melting and pouring gold, silver, copper and other non-ferrous metals. The small size is ideal for melting scrap, making ingots and small castings.

The whip tong is made from stainless steel wire and works in reverse: it springs closed to hold the dish, and you squeeze to let go. This keeps the crucible secure while you heat and pour. The round ceramic dish holds up to 100 g and has a spout for a clean, controlled pour.

Safety and first use

Preheat the crucible gently before melting, and glaze the inside with borax to help the metal flow and extend the life of the dish. Always wear heat-resistant gloves and eye protection, and work on a fireproof surface in a well-ventilated area.
