Parallel Action Swedging Pliers 160mm – Woodwind, Jewellery & Metalwork Repair Tool

NS Crafts® Parallel Action Swedging Pliers 160mm

Professional 160mm swedging pliers with parallel action jaws and a row of graduated holes along the jaws. Swedging pliers are a classic woodwind repair tool: the holes fit over key hinge tubes and rods on saxophones, flutes and clarinets, so you can gently swedge (lengthen) a hinge tube to take up end play and stop keys from rattling or wobbling. The same jaws also hold round wire and small tube securely for shaping, bending and straightening in jewellery and metalwork.

The parallel action spreads the pressure evenly along the jaw so the work is not crushed or pinched, and the adjustable screw lets you set the jaw opening for better control.

Key Features

• Graduated swedging holes: several sizes to suit different hinge tubes, rods and wire
• Parallel action: even pressure for controlled, accurate work
• Adjustable screw for better control of the jaw opening
• Strong steel body with spring return for easy one-handed use
• 160mm length gives good leverage

How to Use

1. Choose the hole that best fits the hinge tube, rod or wire.
2. Set the adjustable screw so the jaws close to the size you need.
3. Squeeze gently and rotate a little at a time, checking the fit as you go.
