A Rydel-Seiffer style tuning fork for testing vibration sense, at 64 Hz and 128 Hz. This type of fork is widely used in neurological examinations, for example to check for reduced vibration sense in the feet, and in physiotherapy assessments.
It is an affordable Rydel-Seiffer style fork for training, practice and everyday assessment use. It is not a branded clinical reference instrument, so if your department specifies a particular make, check with them before ordering.
The fork is made from lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminium alloy, with a smooth, comfortable stem that is easy to hold and position. It is small enough to carry in a pocket or clinical bag.
Sold for professional, veterinary, training or educational use.
Hold the fork by the stem, not the prongs. Wipe clean between patients, avoid dropping it on hard surfaces, and store it somewhere dry.
