The NS Crafts® Quartz Crucible Cup with 16" Crucible Handle is made for jewellers, goldsmiths, metalworkers and hobby makers. A tall, high-temperature quartz crucible cup for melting larger amounts of gold, silver and copper with a torch or furnace. The deep cup holds more metal than a shallow dish and pours cleanly.

• 1 x High-temperature quartz crucible cup – approx. outside 7–8 cm, inside 5–5.5 cm, height 11–12 cm; holds approx. 800–1000 g of gold
• 1 x 16" crucible melting handle – 2.5" (6.35 cm) ring with wing screw, mild steel rod and wooden grip

Getting the best from your crucible cup

Heat the cup gradually at first to avoid thermal shock, keep it dry and use a little borax flux to keep the melt clean. Always lift and pour with suitable tongs or a crucible handle.
