Ceramic Melting & Casting Crucible 4" – 155g Capacity Jewellery Tool

The large ceramic melting dish, made of fused silica for melting precious metals at high temperatures. It is the biggest size in our crucible range, made for melting larger amounts of scrap, dust and metal, including gold, silver, copper and brass.

The dish has a pouring spout for a clean, controlled pour into an ingot mould or flask. It can be held with tongs or a whip handle.

First use

Pre-heat the dish gently, then coat the inside with borax while hot to glaze it. Use a separate dish for each metal to avoid contamination.
